Rehabilitation Success Story

Lillian Monday* was a very independent 90-year-old who fractured her hip after falling at home. Following hip surgery, she was discharged from the hospital to a local nursing facility. Over the next two weeks, she made virtually no progress in her recovery.

Lillian and her family were eager for her to recover and return home so they pursued admission to Our Lady of Hope Health Center. Their goal was to improve functional independence and quality of life.

In just over a month at Our Lady of Hope, Ms. Monday made significant progress through one-on-one physical and occupational therapy in the on-site Rehabilitation Center. When she wasn’t in therapy, she enjoyed making new friends as well as the variety of activities and delicious meals.

After recently meeting her goals for rehabilitation, Ms. Monday moved back into her apartment where she receives minimal assistance from her daughter and is enjoying being back at home!
